Mittelstadt or Sergachev?
I know they play a different position and they're both blue chips. But I'd like to know what you guys think

For points only and now that we know Karlsson won't be coming to Tampa, I'll take Sergachev. Middlestadt might be very good, but at best he'll be a #2 center, so he'd probably top out at 55 points, whereas Sergachev, although admittedly sheltered as a rookie, should still take scoring strides this season, thus making him more valuable in relation to his position than Middlestadt, at least IMO.

For me, as it normally does when it comes to trying to choose between two different position players, it would depend on team needs as much as anything. Where is your strengths and weaknesses, which is determined by current roster.
Both are excellent players with tremendous upside that has barely been scratched.

If it was for your league in sig... I'd take Sergachev. you need the D more than Mitts

Exactly my thoughts. Also Sergachev's owner has an incredible defense and a average offense. I thought it was a win/win deal but he said no.Originally Posted by lucafen4

It’s always hard to compare a rookie with a proven NHLer. I pick the guy I know what I’ll get for in Sergachev. Maybe I will change my mind after this season though
