Brand new keep 4 league who do i target?!

New to the forum and need some help from you fellas. Brand new keep 4 league,i have picks 8,9 24, 25. Who am i looking to target as im assuming these will be my keepers as they are my top 4 picks. League settings G, A, PPP, SHP, SOG, HIT,BLK, GWG goalies are W,SV, GA, SHO

This is a really tough question without knowing how the first few picks go. These kinds of leagues, the top end of the draft can be a bit murky once McDavid, Kucherov, Crosby, Ovechkin are off the board. Personally I would be hoping to snag Seguin + Benn, or Seguin + Burns at 8-9.

with those cats I would look to snag a top dman at 8/9 - one of burns, Karlsson, Hedman,

I agree with the others ... pick the best forward available and a elite D . It’s a nice way to start a draft.

good advice in here. also i'd say if you are grabbing reliable high-producing guys in their late 20s early in a keep 4, consider gambling late in the draft with some high-ceiling youth. Maybe you get lucky and land a long-term keeper in round 8 or 10 or something if someone else you took early doesn't work out

Being as you have consecutive picks at 8 & 9, I assume this is an 8 team league with you picking last in the 1st round and 1st in the 2nd, with a snake format?

That would be 32 total keepers in the entire league.

It’s likely not going to be worth taking a goalie that early, as I can’t imagine very many goalies being kept in that format.

I would simply take the best 2 skaters available under say 26 years old.

With this few keepers you want a hard “core” of guys you can keep year over year, and stream everyone else.
