Draft results added onto the first post.
I have a couple of good D's if someone wants one. With Theodore who signed this night.
Draft results added onto the first post.
That was a fun draft. My queue was also getting cleaned out as my picks approached. That led to a few rushed picks but that's a good thing. If you guys didn't clean out my queue at every pick that would lead me to believe I ended up with a bunch of players that nobody wanted. 😕
And so it begins. The season hasn't even started yet and I already have four players on the IR. (Perry, Fabbri, Darling and Weber.) Weber I drafted specifically to put him on the IR, but yeesh, not a good start.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.
League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.
Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.
We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.
Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid
This weekly add setup is killing me. I feel like my hands are tied. I've wanted to make so many moves already and can't. To be clear, I am not complaining, just something I need to adjust to. Never been in a weekly league before, let alone weekly adds. Puts a whole new strategy into place.

Bryan Little (centreing Laine) and Logan Couture both available. Looking for a winger and/or goalie in exchange.
I have no idea what I am doing. Whoever wants to see a train wreck of a team, click on the Lancaster Bombers. Thought I’d be wise and only play my big name players and let my depth guys sit and now my man games are already screwed up.
Projections for games played:
C - (-4)
LW - (-9)
RW - (-15)
D - (-3)
G - (-4)
On top of that screw up, I decided to wait on drafting goalies and ended up with Allen and Luongo as my starters and we all know how that has gone so far. So now I am currently carrying 7 goalies and playing matchups.
I don’t expect to see any other position than 12th place all season long. Doh!
Projected games are easy to make up. Especially in the centre position, where you have six or seven guys that can slot in there.
Goaltending will be more difficult as goalies generally only get 60ish games anyways. In a league like this, you need three starting goalies to reach the max number of games.
Your biggest issue right now is the number of goalies you have. By having so many backups, you have no room for depth skater positions. The best option might be to drop a couple for skaters, especially a defenseman, as you have no extra players at that position.
Each Sunday, have a look at what team plays the most the following week and choose a goalie or two there. If Pittsburgh plays only two games, for example, there's no point in rostering DeSmith. If Montreal is playing five games in eight nights, pick up Niemi, since you know he will probably get at least one start, if not two. Also try to look at injuries and trends. Quick is injured, so someone picked up Campbell. Mike Smith is struggling, so someone picked up Rittich.
Also, have a look at skaters on hot streaks. If Bertuzzi or Nich aren't doing anything, for example, drop them for the guys who are riding hot for a week or two, then drop them when they get cold. I picked up Lajoie a couple of weeks back, and dropped him this morning.
We are a month into the season. There's still 90 per cent of the season left. Lots of time.
Wow, thank you for that response. I really appreciate the advice. Rep’d.
Also Allen looks to possibly be out for a while in St Louis...

Standings update:
How's everyone feeling about their teams / the season so far?
I'm pretty pleased. I was around 11-12th after the first 10 days or so, so it's been a steady climb back up. My goalies have been disappointing (Price, Talbot, Darling), and I thought I would have more goals and shots, but that's fantasy hockey.

I'm finding Roto kind of dull but atleast I've got the gist of it enough to compete.
