I think you have to take this deal, if Eichel is everything that people claim he will be.
Hey guys, silly random question: I was offered a trade of Eichel for my bergeron. it's a one-year 10-team league, and this is my roster:
Aho
bergeron
Crosby
Marner
Pavelski
Radulov
Stamkos
Kovalchuk
Couture
Skinner
Burns
Hedman
Fowler
Krug
Reilly
Holtby
Murray
Smith
Cats:
W L T Pts G A +/- PIM SOG GWG PPP W GAA SV% SHO
Based on this roster alone, I think i can do the deal because I can bare to part with Bergeron-but is there really any point? How much of a point difference do you guys think there will be between Eichel and Bergeron? And of course, I have Skinner at least for now.

The hard part is figuring out when the break out happens, because it wouldn't surprise me if Bergeron is better for next year, especially given your format. Bergeron is capable of putting up 300 SOG with a terrific +/-. The only real edge Eichel may have here is PPP.
That being said Eichel is no slouch on SOG either, so I think you probably have to take this chance and hope that next season is Eichel's big breakout.

I agree that in a one-year league with these categories they're closer than many might think. Bergeron is the safe pick, but Eichel has the home run possibility. So if you want to be conservative, don't do the deal but if you want to swing for the fences then take it.

Without FOWs as a category, I'd gamble and go with Eichel

I'd take Eichel. Slight gamble but his ceiling is much much higher. I think Buffalo got a lot better and if he can keep healthy... sky's the limit.
I think Boston are pretty settled and you've got a nice combo of Krug and Bergeron in tandem on a great power play - I always like to have at least one combo in my line up. I'm a big Eichel fan and I think Buffalo will be better this year but going with Skinner and Eichel and giving up that Boston PP double act would be too much of a gamble for me.
I'd stick what you've got unless you can negotiate Skinner into the trade and get a return from him.

Take Eichel and don’t look back. This kid is due to have a monster seasons at some point very soon. Prob this year. You want to be on that while you still have a shot at a top 5 C in the league.

i think Eichel may slightly beat Bergeron in most categories but you will get like differential of -50 on +- between the 2.
