Word from McGuire from "around the league sources" is that Serg. is "tearing it up" in preseason drills and play right now. One he suggests we target in our pools - to which he rarely talks about on radio.
He's one where if Heds goes down for a lengthy time w/injury, look out.

Traded my McAvoy + a 2nd round for Sergachev + late 1st round draft pick in my 10 man ESPN keeper. Pretty happy with that. His preseason play has impressed me.
Both will be studs ultimately. Will be fun to revisit this in a year or two..

Foregone conclusion now since the deal is done, but I like Serg here but that's not saying McAvoy isn't a stud too.
I'm a huge fan of the way Tampa views, values and brings along their young players. The most recent example being that they apparently would not move Serg (or Point) for Karlsson.

40 points as a rookie is not necessarily hiding by any means. He should get a pairing with McDonagh and this will allow him to play a more offensive style.

I think it is going to be a bit of a Nashville situation in Tampa Bay, where the offence can support more than one stud defenceman. Sergachev could easily be a 55 point D with that team, and Hedman could still get his 70 points.
