    Default Granlund vs Tarasenko

    Hi guys,

In a keeper's salary cap points only league, would you guys prefer to keep Mikael Granlund or Vlad Tarasenko in your keepers? Granlund has a 5.5M$ cap vs Tank's 7.5M$, I'm trying to figure out which one has the higher probability of reaching a higher ceiling per M$.

Thanks for your input and comments!
7 Keepers Salary Cap League (81.5M Cap)/ 18 Teams / 10 FW, 5 D, 2G, 1 Bench). Every 10 games, we compute Top 8 forwards, top 4 Ds and top goalie for those 10 games, then we store the points and computer for the next 10 games, so on and so forth.
    FW: 1pt = 1 FPt
    D: 1pt = 1 FPt & +/- = +or- 1 FPt
    G: (TOI*0.05/GAA)

I think Tarasenko will never be what many hoped, while Granlund has now put in two very solid seasons despite low ice times, which now might improve given the new GM in Minny. With the salaries mattering and no bonus for goals, I'm going with Granlund here.

I go Tank here. Last year was a down year and he still got 30/30. With an improved St. Louis team I think he will easily match his value.

Tarasenko has a better chance to be a difference maker, so I'd risk the higher price tag and go with him.

For the difference of 2 million, I'd keep Tank, even for slightly increased trade value alone. I too think he's in for a good year as do some of my fellow friends/poolies. I think 72-74 is doable this year for him. I'm not a huge fan of Granlund.
    Good luck

Is this a true points only or is it the one in your signature with the FW? That would slant to granlund with FW Imo.

This is tough. I think with the cap difference I would lean towards granlund like rizzee said. BUT. I do believe tank has higher trade value AND it's not like his cap hit is 9.5 etc. 7.5 even for a star is doable. The other thing to consider is if this Is a dynasty tank is locked up for a while. Granlund isn't. So granlunds cap may surpass tanks on his next deal.

1st reaction is granlund from me. Thinking deeper I think you go tank
