I'd go with Kane. Kopitar had a career year at 30 years old ... Kane had a down year but so did the rest of Chicago outside of DeBrincat. I expect Kopi to be around the 70-75 pt range and Kane in the 75-85 pt range.

I like Kopitar for 80-85 again this year. Last season's coaching change really opened him up for more offense and adding Kovalchuk can't hurt.

I think they both finish around the 80 point mark this season, I'd roll with Kane with your league, I'd roll with Kopi in mine which includes Hits/Blks.
I think this is really close. The hits & blocks Kopi will get are a wash with the SOG Kane will put up. Account for a slight increase in points for Kane and slight regression for Kopitar and they're even.
Gun to my head give me Kopitar. The Kovalchuk factor intrigues me and I figure LA will be the better team.

Funny how things can change. A couple years ago this is Kane and it's probably not close, but now it's worth asking. Kopi might get you a few more hits and blocks but Kane just put up 75 pts in a down year. He's been consistently around a point per game or better for most of his career vs Kopitar's one season over the pt/g mark with the highest shooting percentage of his career. Kane also shoots a lot more and likely gets more goals.
I'll take Kane.
Another vote for Kane.
Frankenberry has closed the gap but I would still go with Kane.
Close but age and track record make me say Kane
