Mason Raymond-Help With Hometown Bias
Hey, just wanted some conflicting thoughts.
I could see Raymond developing into a solid goal scoring winger, with about 65-75 pts per season, within 5-6 years.
Only problem with that is that being a \'Nucks fan, I don\'t know whether that\'s just the hometown love talking, or my fantasy hockey mind talking.

Dude, I am so torn...no room really to pick him up but I just have this feeling he and Demitra will rip it up...Raymond will be the surprise in the early going of the NHL. And so many people are picking the canucks to be horrible this year...I would bet they make the playoffs even in that strong west.

Being on the east coast it is hard for me to get info on Western teams but from everything I have read on different boards many think Raymond is going to be a good player. He seems to be clicking with Demitra. So I do see 65pts out of him sometime in the near future.

65 points seems excessive to me, at least for this year.
look at the trouble bouchard has at cracking 70... and he\'s much more talented than raymond.
or, look at o\'sullivan. does anyone think that raymond will have a better or more productive season than o\'sullivan last year?

Homer here aswell who has high hopes for Raymond but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. So he clicks with Demitra but how long is he gonna be in town. Lets take it a season at a time. 40-45 pts is a good starting point for Raymond this season and if he continues to improve than maybe he gets to becoming a 50-55 pts guy but its too soon to say.
If the nucks can get 40-45 pts out of him they will be happy.
