Just as long as others are not messing with us and not making their picks as if they would in a real situation.... #conspiracy! haha

I think the "PICKS THREAD" should be able to stand on its own.
Each post should be a PICK and a REASON.

But other GMs shouldn't reply if it isn't their pick.

WHL - World Hockey League (24 Team - Daily H2H)

    Maine Moose 2021-2022

I think we use the respect time allotment.

If someone is going to be away for a day and they let the league or pmorrow know... then we will respect that... and it would be appreciated that they leave a list to make it through a round or two.

If someone 'dissapears' for an extended period of time and doesn't let anyone know... then I think we will make the pick after a reasonable amount of time.

So please if you are going to be away/unavailable... please find a proxy (Axeman33 - has kindly offered) to fill in for you while you are away. If you are away and haven't let us know, Axeman33 will be the first person that we ask to fill in. It will not be just a fill-in for a pick at a time... the picks will be his until you have returned and let us all know you are readily available again.

I think we have a great group of participants and don't expect any problems... but if we are consistently waiting 20 hours for the same drafter we might ask someone to step in and help type thing... but I think everyone here is readily available and we should average a pick every 2-4 hours (excluding over night)

My reason for taking Ovechkin at number two overall is pretty simple, he wasn?t taken first overall so I had to take him. I?m a Roto beginner but is he not the best player suited for Roto? He covers almost every skater category and puts up big numbers in most of them. I understand McDavid is more like McJesus in most fantasy formats but I was surprised to not see Ovie taken first overall.

I would take Ovie at 1.

I am thinking the argument for taking McDavid first overall in roto is cause its easier to find a guy that will produce 20 more more hits then the next guy later int he draft... but it is always hard to find a guy that will produce 20 more points then the next guy later in the draft.

I wouldn't argue against anyone taking Ovy or McDavid 1st overall, its all part of the strategy of where you want to get your stats coverage from.

You guys basically covered my two thoughts on the debate at number 1. I also could see Ovie taking a bit of a step back this season with his Stanley Cup celebration hangover. If I end up finding after the draft that I need shots and hits, I'll trade McDavid for a package of something like Byfuglien and Malkin.

Sorry everyone!! I did not know that drafting Tyler Seguin would deter the entire draft this much!
