    Default Petterson v.s Mittelstadt

    I would really like to see what people think in regards to these two comparables? I believe they are both very offensively talented both will have plenty of opportunity on likely bad teams next year. Both should play on the powerplay.

    Who would you take and why for the following situations...

    Short term...

    1. One year league (point only)
    2. One year league (kitchen sink league)

    Long Term...

    3. Dynasty league (points only)
    4. Dyansty league (kitchen sink league)

    *For those who don't understand kitchen sink league it just means a league with many categories likely to include (Shots, Hits, blocks, PIMS among all the typical categories)

    1. One year league (point only) - Mittlestadt becuase I think Buffalo has a lot more talent to play with them and I see Buffalo as a high-scoring team.
    2. One year league (kitchen sink league) Mittlestadt - cause I don' know what you mean by kitchen sink league. - Sorry!

    Long Term...

    3. Dynasty league (points only) Mittlestadt - I think Buffalo is going to become a high-scoring offense for years to come with Eichel and Mittlestadt leading the way.
    4. Dyansty league (kitchen sink league) - See above.

    I personally prefer Mittlestadt but I have no doubt there will be plenty who prefer Pettersson. I think you are asking about two of the top prospects out there today and the difference will be minuscule when it all plays out.

    Put me in the Pettersson fan club. What he did in the SEL is unheard of... literally, he broke records. Mittelstadt did nothing special in the NCAA... while he'll translate well to the NHL and likely see 80pts at some point in his career (maybe more than once) Pettersson's got a century level ceiling. Cam Robinson's got my back on this one.

    Dobber wants his polls near the top so he has a setting that kicks all threads with polls to the top. The only thing that annoys me about it is it tells me I haven't read the thread even though I have read the last post in there and the time showing before I click on it shows a current time and not the last time a post was made there.

    Either way, that's the reason threads like this are still near the top.

    Voted for Pettersson only because i believe he's gonna be dual eligible..I don't think Mitts is...that's how close this is

    ^ I agree with this assessment. I think Pettersson will be a dandy.

    Mittelstadt. What Pettersson did in the SHL was phenomenal, but it was on different ice and at a different position than what most of his NHL career is expected to be at, Center. I think it takes him some time to get used to the NHL and the Center position. Maybe in their late 20's EP catches up to Mitts.

    Or we could be looking back wondering how so many underestimated Mittlestadt. None of us truly know when it comes to prospects, especially two like this who are both highly regarded.
