Default DeAngelo a boom or bust?

Wondering if this is finally the year we see some consistency from Anthony (Tony) DeAngelo. New coach and a young team might be the perfect time, but I?ve said that before. I?ve got to make a call between him and Pionk in my dynasty.

If those are the two you have to decide from I think I would take the chance on DeAngelo's upside and hope that this is the year that he puts it all together.

I'd go with Pionk. DeAngelo has upside but so does Pionk, and I have more faith in him getting consistent minutes.

    KA-BUST!

I think if he is a legit NHL Dman, he'd have proven himself already. Still young but...

is this points only or multi-cat? One thing to remember, he's had less time in the AHL and is a year younger than Pulock - who finally showed up last year. All is not lost, If this is MC... I lean slightly towards Pionk, points only... DeAngelo for sure

I personally got rid of DeAngelo in all my leagues. I'm not necessarily banking on him being a bust, but I put my money on other players/prospects.

Owning him at this point, though? You might be better holding on to him: the return might probably not worth the chance he indeed pulls a Pulock. I don't see it happening, but you never know!

I am not ready to call him a bust just yet, but when you have bounced around like he has early in his career, that can't help your development.

Personally, I'd also gamble on Poink over him.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. It's a multi-cat league, G-A-PPP-SOG-HIT-BLK for the record. Still debating internally but leaning towards keeping Pionk at this point.

Agree here as well, think Rangers going to give Pionk a chance, Deangelo running out of chances.

DeAngelo has been traded twice and still can't crack a lineup full-time and make any sort of impact. Major attitude problems. Cut bait.

One more official name change is needed. As soon as he goes with T-Dabs, it’ll be on.
