Points only, who do you like more?

Both had similar seasons last year..

Doughty. He shares nothing in LA... I'm still convinced if Stevens lets him play anything close to EK or Burns style he's a 70+pt dman.

It is your duty to keep Drew. No Doughty.

Haha all seriousness, Drew will out point Yandle now and for all future seasons. He is a cornerstone of the LA team and may see an uptick in production with Kovy in play. Doughtys name value is also a huge plus if you are involved in trade talks.

Doughty. Kovalchuk coming to town helps his value I think.

Doughty for me. I don't know if he'll outpoint him by 2 points or 15, but I would gamble on him to come out on top.

I actually really like questions like this, because everyone associates name value vs. actual points only value.
I would take Yandle (considerably cheaper option) and I will save my higher picks on name players that out-point their ADP.

Any other players similar to this question?
First one off the top of my head is Ryan O'Reilly. Derek Stepan also.

The epitome of this situation was Olli Jokinen. Man that guy would fall in drafts and could be scooped late when he was in FLA.

Thats a fair way to look at things in a draft but the OP was simply asking who is likely to score more going forward.

It would help to know if this is for a cap league to gauge value relative to the cap hit but as it stands right now Doughty is the better scoring option between these two D with the info we’ve been given.

Another vote for Doughty. On a related note, this could be the year where Ekblad eats away at Yandle stranglehold on PP1, as Ekblad has something like 75% of his points in the last 38 games of the season, so he might finally be heading for that breakout that many have long waited to happen.
