They need to take advantage of this situation of having Matthews and Marner still on their ELCs. Acquire some expiring contracts to improve the team right now. This might be the best chance they'll ever have.

Who cares about the last 15 years?
Marner, Matthews and Nylander have only played 2 years and they added JT two weeks ago for nothing.
I'm a Habs fan (who desperately wants a full rebuild) but hardcore Leafs haters are gonna eat a whole lot of crow in the upcoming few years.
