I was hoping someone connected with one of those and it sailed out of New York! Haha
couls you imagine standing in to take a 104 mph pitch. Wow.
Was just watching the Yankees vs Atlanta game and Chapman just hit 104 mph (twice) in the same inning. The record is 105.1 mph? I don't follow too much baseball but has a pitcher hit 104 mph that often? Would be amazing if he broke his own record tonight

I was in a batting cage in Abbotsford 10 years ago facing 60 mph pitches. I was 20 years old and thought I was just going to crank everything that I seen. Problem was I couldn't see them .... LOL. I remember I was waiting for the pitch then all I hear is BOOM from the pitch hitting the back of the cage. I'm like excuse me can I leave now? My ego was a little bruised that day. I couldn't imagine looking at a 100 mph fastball barreling towards me.
101 is the average "really fast fastball". Anything over that is insane. There's really only like 3 guys in the MLB that can throw over 100mph in a game. Someone like Syndergaard could, but he dials it back to keep up his endurance/accuracy. Aroldis goes like at 95% effort for every pitch it seems.
