For fantasy purposes I just hope he finally gets to play with a bonified NHL centerman, wouldn't that just be amazing?? He has been seen as such a offensive threat and his best pivot has been David Desharnais, my gosh!!

I'm just gonna go out and say Minnesota. I have a feeling. Just a hunch.

Chicago in my opinion (would like Jokiharju and a 1st), but maybe Minnesonta could be proposing Coyle and Bergevin would automatically say yes since he's a center

I would be laughing at the absurdity of it if I was not crying at the real and distinct possibility of it.

I really have a hard time imagining a possible destination in which he would be worse off than in Montreal. At this point, any trade would be a boon to his fantasy value.

that's not a "possible destination." I fail to see any scenario wherein Ottawa would trade for Pacioretty with the state of their franchise.

Of course Ottawa is a possible destination for him. Whether or not it's a "likely" destination is another story.

Hawks won't do that. I agree it would be a great deal for Patches.

With Crawford's uncertainty I can't see the Hawks making a play for him at all. If Crawford misses much time the Hawks are a lottery team.

Ottawa wants to avoid the embarrassment of giving a lottery pick to Colorado. They also desperately want to put "bums in seats". MaxPac's salary is reasonable. While Ottawa is not a likely destination, to say it is not possible is just silly.

If that happens , Patch?s fantasy value will explode. Imagine him playing with Malkin or Crosby. That would change from Danault or Desharnais! Patch never had a true #1 center and the guy keep putting 30+ goals seasons. I wish for him he lands in Pit. What would be the return? Sprong and a 1st? What you think ?

Right now, I think the Oilers are happy to sit back and let kids like Benson and McLeod develop into a scoring type of winger on the left side. On the right side they are waiting for kids like Puljujarvi and Yamamoto to develop. It's not like they have any other choice really considering their cap situation. Yes, I know McLeod was drafted as a center but he plays wing as well. That's why you draft these kids; to develop into quality NHL players. It's not like McDavid or Draisaitl are even close to their prime years so they can afford to be patient right now.
