Default Calgary make a move at the draft?

Anyone see Calgary making a splash at the draft this year? I've got a feeling we will see someone like Brodie moved but not sure for whom or what.

I am sure they want to get a pick in the first few rounds seeing as they dont have any in the first three rounds this year. Hard to say what they will do but they clearly have an abundance of D options, both at the NHL and also in the prospect level as well. I think if they are going to do anything, it will be moving a D out somewhere.

TSN was talking a possible Hamilton for Lindholm trade. Not sure what all would be involved and honestly I'd hate to see him go, but IF Calgary wants to make some noise, Hamilton is our biggest trade chip. Hamilton for Necas? I wish!

Dougie is definitely your biggest fish, but I am not sure I'd trade him. You still have lots of other solid Dmen that could get you a decent return and it's not like you dont have the horses coming up to replace them.

You want to trade a lead leading scoring top pairing defensman for a player who’s never played in the NHL?

I'd trade Brock Nelson for Brodie but would want Brodie in for a health check first (concussions)

I would love to see one of Calgary's top 4 get traded for some pieces... I love seeing trades around the draft... they are usually when real hockey trades are made and are extremely fun to analyze.

A 3C for a top 4 D? Maybe with a substantial add from the Islanders. We already have Jankowski so I don't see the value in acquiring Nelson.

Burke is gone from Calgary, so that means there's potential for Toronto and Calgary to make a deal - Brodie for a couple young Leafs wingers? Kapanen, Brown, Timashov? I could see something like that - or the Leafs #25 pick.

That would make more sense from the Flames perspective, depending on the details. They have to be careful to not get boxed into a sell low situation with Brodie.

idk , I was under impression flames were looking for more scoring / size . Nelson's probably played more W than C in his career so far so plug him in wherever you want .

it feels as though Brodies been shopped for awhile now so they might need to lower expectations or keep him and shop someone else

Why do I get the feeling that they will trade Dougie Hamilton and Sam Bennett to Ottawa for Erik Karlsson?
