pending level of interest, I could expand from 12-14 teams (which would really allow depth to come into play) I find in one year leagues the waiver wire is riddled with serviceable players. So within the stretches of reason, I'm going as deep as I can

The tiers will be set up identically:

4 -C
4 - LW
4 - RW
6 - D
2 - SK - skater/utility positions, which can be D or forward of any position
2 - G
5 - Bench

3 - IR.

I'll be the first to admit, given the opportunity I will abuse the waiver wire and just churn roster spots. So to prevent myself (and possibly others) from doing this, I like limiting moves.

35 for the year

Draft well my friend. This is enough for 2 per week until end of January. Calculated decisions will be required.

Everyone hates that stellar week that results in a 'bad beat' -- that's why we'll be doing two matchups per week. It reduces chance and lets the cream rise to the top.

PLAYOFFS - A bit of a grind, it will be

TOP 6 make it.
Top 2 teams get 1st round bye's
Round 1 - 1 week matchup
Round 2 - 2 week matchup - semi's
Round 3 - 2 week matchup - finals

As always, any one have thoughts/tips/suggestions ?

There are two earlier emails where I've posted other rules/set up and asked for feedback. This is a pay league. likely $30-$35. It is a one year league, well leagues. The idea is two identical leagues - 12 teams each (maybe 14) at the end of the year top 6 teams in each will form tier 1, bottom 6 in each will form tier 2.

The next year, bottom two teams in tier 1 will drop to tier 2, top 2 teams in tier 2 will move up to tier 1 - and continue.

I'll add that any non-participating team will be removed and if it's a tier 1 team that goes defunct, then a 3rd tier 2 team will move up and a fresh team will be sourced in tier 2.
