Points-Only Breakouts for Next Season?

Figured it'd be fun to start this discussion. Who do you guys think will take a big jump forward next year regarding their point totals? Any thoughts on early strategic targets you think you'll be able to draft at a great value spot this coming fall?

Neat! Have you watched any of these guys play much? I haven't (except Jesse P). Think Jesse sticks with the big club for sure? He looks amazing sometimes, and uncomfortable others.

Think Meier still jumps his stats if Kane stays in SJ, or only if he leaves and opens up a top 6 slot? Why Beaulivillier? Thanks!

Timo took off down the stretch & played well in the playoffs. He's also a solid multi-cat forward. I haven't seen any of them play much... but both Meier & Beauvillier put up almost identical numbers this year and their production mirrored each other in terms of 2nd half jumps. Meier's shot production was a real eye opener for me. If he gets a regular top 6 role and solid PP exposure 55+ isn't out of the equation. Very similar with Beav - the SOG increase isn't the same for him, but 50ish is a very likely possibility.

Pulj, your right, flashes and dashes of brilliance. he could take another year to put it together, or he could blow up for 60+pts - given regular time on McD's wing. He is clearly learning to play every shift still.

I agree with Timo Meier. I think he has a big year next year.

I think where he plays next year will determine a lot, if he gets paired with Stammer & Kuch in TB - then yeah, I can see a good 10pt jump.. if he ends up on a team with less dynamic top liners, then 55-60 or more of the norm from him.

I think they just meant which line - top line vs all other options. Anyone with Kuch and Stam is probably going to set career highs, for sure!

As a Leafs fan you should be pretty excited for Kasperi Kapanen and Andreas Johnsson. JVR and Komarov won;t be back next season that that opens up huge opportunity for these two. They'll get a lot more minutes and I fully expect them to take advantage of it.
