    Shesterkin
    Mrazek (waivers)

    13 Forwards, 6 d-mens, 2 goalies counting
    35 players
Goals and assists only for skaters
    W 2pts T 1pt SO 5pts for goaltenders
I'm ok with ending last for at least 2-3 years waiting for my young players to play in the NHL
Have the first and 11th picks
Drafting Dahlin will help improving my defense
    No salary cap
Now we are 10, since we just included an expansion team.

I thought about trading him for a d-men to improve at this position but I'm sure of what kind of player I should be asking for since his value isn't incredible at the moment.
Thatcher Demko and Carter Hart are available so I was planning on drafting them to replace Mrazek and Allen.

Those two at least 1yr (Demko) or 3yrs (Hart) away from being anywhere relevant. Now if that's ok for you fine but I still don't offload Allen right now.his value needs to be better..and won't be until later when everybody forgets about his end of season play.

I know. It doesn't matter to me since I'm already in reconstruction. Lot of young players as you can see.
I totally agree on your point but what if he never takes the number one spot we've all been waiting for him to take. Maybe it's my last chance to get something for him.
Do you think he'll ever be dominant?

I wouldn't rush to trade Allen right now. I don't see his value as getting consistently worse from here on, I think his value will have ups and downs. If you can find someone who truly trusts Allen right now then go ahead. But I will guess his value will go up if Hutton heads to UFA and a designated backup comes in, or Allen has a hot start. He still has the youth and pedigree to net a big return if he plays well.

I think this could be the worst time to deal Allen, I really do. He tends to get scolding hot over stretches, so I would hold and sell high then. Unless he's part of a big deal that lands you a monster upgrade somewhere, I wouldn't trade him "just because." I mean, if you can get Werenski or someone youngish like Hamilton for him and a little sweetener, sure. But I wouldn't trade him for a depth D as he could get hot and win you weeks, or become a huge trade chip at that time.

I love Jake Allens technique , pedigree etc. and would be all over someone dangling him during this perceived lower than usual value .

I dont know whether Hutton returns but even if he does Jakes still the #1

I would def. nab Demko - he's got the door cracked open right now for the NHL. Hart, I'm not sure I'd go there unless you have a prospect system, I'm not sure you do? hard to tell by the way you presented your roster. He's 2-5 years away from the NHL... dropping Mrazek to make room for Demko is what I would do. Even if Demko starts in the AHL, not having Mrazek is a plus to your stats

So I'll wait and sell high on Allen(hoping to get a D men like Werenski), drop Mrazek for Demko and I'll wait a little to get Hart.
    Thank you guys!

That's sounds like a great plan!

Yes, don't trade away Allen. He'll get hot next year, and you'll regret moving him at his lowest.

I think we had this exact exchange on Conner Hellebuyck at this time last year after a poor showing. That said, Allen is three years older and may not as likely to have a similar mind-blowing season next year and I'm a bit more tempted to move him this summer.
