I would probably keep Trouba as the sure thing.. Pulock is being talked about a lot as a breakout candidate, but he still has a lot to prove.
How do we feel about Trouba vs Pulock for my team next year? I ended up winning the draft lottery so unless I have a stroke I'll be taking Dahlin...i need one more drop and to me it's down to these two..

Yeah I would go with Trouba as well. It's weird calling him the safe pick given his injury history but if he's healthy I think he can be a big factor, whereas Pulock has even more risk given his short track record

Trouba for me as well. Pulock is more of a flavor of the week. His upside would have to grossly exceed Trouba's to be worth it. It doesn't, so Trouba wins.

If you want points, I would go with Pulock. 23 pts in the last 35 games, (12 in his last 16) with 107 shots on goal. His ice time increased after the new year and was averageing about 20 minutes. He is quarterbacking the power play as well. I only see his point totals going up and is a safer pick imo.

Your scoring categories are almost exclusively offensive, so I would take Pulock here.
Another thought: Does your number two drafting GM really want Dahlin? I answered in another thread that I would tale Svechnikov over Dahlin for fantasy purposes. I would explore trading down a spot, acquiring another draft pick or upgrade in the process, keep Pulock and Trouba, drop Bratt, and then draft Svechnikov.
i have #2 as well. (still undecided as who to take and who to leave exposed for my last two picks at #6 and #10
we can only keep 20 and Bratt is already on the way out, along with probably HoSang and Domi. i could also drop Buchnevich instead of Domi, but i want to see who takes over in NYR before i do that.

Trouba isn't a fantasy stud, he falls under the "better in real life" category. Pulock has the potential to be a big fantasy contributing D-man. I'd go with Pulock.
..now its getting interesting!
now i know im making the right call coming here. these are teh same reasons for and against each that put them in this "poll". FWIW i do like Trouba, but Pulock hype has me reconsidering, he does have teh potential, whereas Trouba may not throw the points up but he does fill the peripherals.

I'd rather put some sort of a package together including Allen to upgrade your G's -- Demko's a full year away from becoming relevant. I'd even try Allen - Raanta 1-1 (call me crazy)

Sell Ho-Suck....
Also, Pulock isn't quarterbacking the PP.. He is the shot option on the PP, but the PP is Leddy's to run. It will limit Pulock until he can become a more dynamic skater, walking the blueline and dipping deep in and out of the offensive zone.. I just don't think he is that kind of defenceman, so I don't know if he will get the points that come with that kind of involvement. Trouba is a better skater and has a pile of raw tools, but maybe not the offensive nose for the net that does Pulock. It's not that easy a play, but Trouba is the safer option and has shown he can be productive. Pulock is a wild card at the moment. The signs show good, slow development, but for next year, I would probably pick Trouba. It's really close, though. Would love to see how other teams will adapt to the obvious tee-up scheme that they have going for Pulock.
