I imagine Kadri will get a game. If it was regular season, I could see more, but I really can't see it being more than a game in the playoffs.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Oh for sure. I think they like Wingels because he can play any role they need, but he's not essential by any means. Especially if Nash is good to go. Definitely an opportunity for some gamesmanship from the Bruins organization.

My biggest reason to think he gets an extra game is that it was a considerably worse than the Doughty hit, and he got a game. Just feels like they would need to be a little heavier handed for the optics of it.

Good point.... if Doughty gets one.. then Kadri should get more... great viewpoint.

It should push Marleau to Centre, it'll be interesting to see whether Johnsson or Martin gets to play, either way, adding Kapanen or Johnson to Marleau's wing will give that line more speed. not to mention more discipline.

Babcock is a great coach but some of his decisions baffle me. What is his obsession with Leo and why is he going to be the player to benefit from Kadri's absence? Very frustrating.

Pastarnak drove play a lot, Leo will line up against him mostly because Boston is playing the match game of Matthews vs Bergeron. Also anything that happens with Marchand on the ice, Leo can be there?

I had the same thought of Leo seeing more of Marchand to try and throw the rat's game off a bit. Other than that, it is hard to get behind this move. There are better options/combinations available.

Hopefully Babcock is on to something we don't see. I feel like Matthews/Nylander are used to Hyman's speed on dump ins and we'll see in the first part of the game a lot of lost dump-and-chases by that line because Leo Komarov doesn't get to the puck right away.

Exactly. Hyman has been glued to Matthews all season. If you are going to separate the two of them I'd rather see a skill guy slot in besides Matthews. Johnsson-Matthews-Nylander could be incredible.

Just because a coach has a great rep it doesn't mean he makes the right decision 100% of the time

It's a message to Boston... don't try to push my stars around. Komarov is a wrecking ball when on his game... how things start are not how they always end.

A La Matt Martin playing most of the season over Kapanen.

The thing I keep trying to remember is Babcock is good at getting the players he likes playing to their full potential. Key is...he's got to like you...and to get him to like you is super hard if you're under the age of 25 pretty much.

Maybe Babcock isn't great at seizing the talent "right now". Like he takes his time with players and doesn't take a whole lot of chances with his roster.

I haven't really seen Babcock jumble his lines up mid game a whole lot this season like he did with Detroit. You see the "after the PK/PP" line mash ups, but that's it.
