I thought I better get my Top 10 in, just in case some of my projections align with the Dobber Guide and I'm accused of plagarism (or much worse).

    1. Connor McDavid 114
    2. Nathan MacKinnon 103
    3. Nikita Kucherov 98
    4. Evgeny Malkin 96
    5. Auston Matthews 95
    6. Sidney Crosby 93
    7. Brad Marchand 89
    8. Alexander Barkov 89
    9. Evgeny Kuznetsov 86
    10. John Tavares 84
    10. David Pastrnak 84

I''m assuming of course that Malkin stays reasonably healthy, Matthews does also and explodes in his 3rd year, and Barkov will make most people notice how good he really is. Some fantastic players are left for the next 10 but you can't choose them all.

I think you have MacKinnon too high. 90ish would be my estimated high. I don't believe Colorado will score as much as last season. Other than that I think your list looks pretty good.

MacKinnon would have had 107 points were it not for the late season injury. His usage, linemates, and amazing skill make me think that 100+points is very doable. Having said that, 90 points is still a great year.

It will probably change because there are still quite a few I haven't done complete projections on. Ovechkin for example. This is the fun part

    10 Evgeny Kuznetsov WSH 82 26 58 84 50 55 25 195 13.3
Looks pretty solid from where I sit, except I think Kane (bad team) and Matthews (not enough minutes) will be on the outside looking in when all is said and done. Who'll take their place? Probably one guy from Winnipeg plus either Giroux or Barkov. I have zero faith in Malkin staying healthy two years in a row.

True enough. I just can't see that top line scoring as much as last year. Teams will have learned a little bit more about how to match up with them and slow them down. Just my two bits

I'm going to have to finish up my lists ... going team by team but I think my top 10 is going to look a lot different than when I first made the original post.

I think Tavares over Matthews, at least for a couple years. They will be close either way and I don't follow Toronto as closely as many others do. This is go-time for Tavares though.

I agree. I think Tavares will get the 1C job (if we can call it that in Toronto, lets just say more TOI) and be given a little more opportunity than Matthews due to contract, age and expectation. Thus Tavares likely will outpoint Matthews over next few seasons.

Really appreciated your lists last year. I found them to be a nice additional comparison point once I was done with Dobbers guide, FHG, and other sources. Cant wait StuntMan!
