This isn't a trade should be vetoed post as vetos are next to nil in this league and its not really vetoable but just can't wrap my head around this deal. So i guess im just spewing.
Team A(3rd from bottom) is out of the playoff picture (and going nowhere fast Ud think he'd want to get some nice pieces) and traded Burns to arguably the 2nd best team in league behind me. I still think my team is better and he's going to have cap issues. Its a12 team multicat dynasty (see my sig).
Here's the whole deal:
Team A trades 2019 3rd rdr and Burns for CPerry 2019 2nd rdr 2020 1st rdr.
What gives?

It's a bad deal but not worth focusing on unless you suspect collusion which it doesn't appear you do. If you're really worried about it then give up some of your picks for a rental to balance it out. Either way time to move forward.

Only thing to do is see if the commish has asked the guy dealing Burns what he is thinking. It looks bad, but definitely could be just a rather ordinary terrible trade.

it's a really bad trade for the former Perry owner... He's the one that got owned here.... I've never even heard of BRETT Burns... Now if he had traded BRENT.. that would be equally as awful the other way..

Perspective....I'm also in this league. It's a cap league, where the salary cap is $93.7 million, your highest paid player has a salary of $0. Essentially nobody in this league has cap space to do anything trade wise. Based on scoring, the only reason Perry at his salary hasn't been dropped is because of his name. He's unownable in this format. This trade was ridiculously bad. I was negotiating with the Perry owner around Kopitar and was asking for 2 firsts + more, and I was only taking Perry for salary reasons. I was planning to drop him post trade. I'd argue it's vetoable, but the commish has already shown this year he only vetoes trades when his buddies want him to. I joined this year and honestly it.....hasn't been a very good experience.
TL;DR - In the context of league settings, this trade is actually worse than it looks on the surface.
