I don't know man.. wheeler is getting old and so owning kuch is a big plus. Mcdavid is a rung above Scheifele but not by much. I think i agree... side B

In general If you trade McDavid and it makes your team better as a whole how do you lose 99.9% of the time. Trades are about making team better not just having 1 of the best players. I'm not saying this trade makes op better or not.

In trades like this, I look mostly at the best player in the deal (on both sides) and not the extra pieces.

There aren't many players who I choose over Kucherov, but McDavid is one of them especially as a keeper. Kucherov has only been better than PPG for 2/5 years and that was with Stamkos (arguably the 1 or 2 best sniper in the league) for most of that time.

McDavid has been PPG from day 1 and shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, you can argue that he still hasn't hit his prime. I am not sure I would trade McDavid for anyone in the world in a keeper league.
In a 10 league where we start 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D and 2 G daily. It is a H2H league - we keep 3 players (1 G max), are allowed a max of 2 keeps for each player. The number in brackets is the number of keeps I have left:

G, A, +/-, PIMs, PPG, PPA and Shots.
C - Larkin, Couturier, Kopitar, Cirelli
LW - OV, Panarin (1), Schenn (C), Ehlers (RW), Kreider
RW - Kucherov (0), Seguin (C), Palmieri, Voracek, Yamamoto
    D - Yandle, DeAngelo

    W, GAA, SV% and Saves.
G - Rask, Varlamov, Hart, Mrazek
    IR+ - Tarasenko

I have Kucherov and Scheifele and as great as McDavid is, I'm not sure I would be able to pull the trigger, especially in a goal-heavy league.

EDIT: I went a little deeper with some numbers (my league's cats are similar); based on fantasy points per game this is the total for each side:

    Wheeler & McDavid = 3.59
    Scheifele & Kucherov = 3.8

    Pretty damn close.
    14 Team | Keep 5 | H2H Weekly Lock
    Start: 2 x C, LW, RW | 4 x D | 1 x G

    Scoring System:

    +/- (0.5), G (3), A (2), PIM (0.25), PPG (1), PPA (1), SHG (2), ShG (1), BLK (0.1), HIT (0.1), GWG (1), HT (2)
    W (5), SHO (3), S (0.2), GA (-1), ShSv (0.2)
