Free Stattracker????

It\'s a bit quirky still - but as they say \"hold your horses\" - they\'re adding and updating the player database names daily and more once the regular season (completely) kicks in...

If you are a firefox user, there is a good greasemonkey script that allows for stattracking. I can post more info if you already use firefox.

Haha okay, sorry, I probably should have just posted it right away anyways. Okay, so as long as you have firefox installed, you\'ll want to install greasemonkey, which some people may or may not have already. What it is is a program that allows you to run scripts on different webpages, so you could find scripts for lots of your other favourite webpages as well.

First install greasmonkey if you dont have it already by just clicking on this link:

Second, you\'re going to want to install a certain script that will run on any yahoo fantasy hockey webpages:

You will click \"install this script\" which is located near the top right corner. Keep watch on that site though, as a new version of the code will be put up by the author shortly, kudos to him.

If you want to edit some stat categories and etc that are displayed from your league defaults, you can do that by editing the script itself.

You do this by right clicking on the greasemonkey symbol in te bottom right of firefox, manage user scripts > select the yahoo hockey sript > clck edit button bottom left. From there you will locate the \"function getStats(player)\" and then go to the bottom of the function, and there will be commented code (in a blue colour) explaining how to add specific stats.

I personally added for forwards time on ice, which would be
stats.push(\"TOI\"
in the \"if (player) {\" section of the function, and I also added shots against and saves so I can keep track of my goalies performance more closely ( stats.push(\"SA\&quot and stats.push(\"SV\&quot in the \"else\" portion of that same if statement).

I don\'t know how this compares to the other stat tracker other have mentioned, but it basically pops up a window when you click on the button where the \"launch stat tracker\" button would be and it gives you all of the information in a table.

interesting, does it let you specify your team or does it just pull in the stats for that day?

It jsut pulls the stats from that day. There is going to be a new version for this season, so I don\'t know what that will do, but I do know that it will allow for head to head stats which this one didn\'t do originally. Its not fully feature packed, but I found it very useful and convenient last year.
