I have never been in a baseball H2H pool before but have been in a rotisserie baseball pool for years. I’m sure H2H is similar to hockey H2H with needing a little luck, of who you play, every once in awhile, hahaha. I will admit I started reading from the start but then got side tracked and went to this last page, so I missed 13 or so pages. I saw the scoring and what the starting lineup consists of, but how many are allowed on reserve and is there a limit to the # of pitchers on the reserve.

    Cheers
Limited DL spots (I think it's 4). If you've played hockey H2H, then you know exactly what you would be dealing with for baseball H2H.
We had some interest from another owner earlier today, but if he doesn't pan out, or someone else has to drop, then we'll let you know.

Sounds good. I will receive emails for any updates here, so if something changes let me know. Should I subscribe to the thread where you were asking for 1 GM as well?

We'll let you know either way. There may be a lot of updates in this thread, so you may be better off just following the other thread instead.

Should we be mentioning players not drafted yet?

We've been mentioning "free agent" Darvish so much I feel like Magic Johnson.

The draft hadn't started yet. Now people are deciding on picks - unless it's a joke suggestion (pick Tomas in the first round!) I think we should wait until the player is drafted before discussing their merits vs other players already drafted. Otherwise, it could affect people's decisions if they're undecided.

Just my opinion, but not going to make a big deal if it happens occasionally.

I am full in for the no-name dropping... the first round might not make a difference because people will know who they want in the first round...

But it really becomes important in the later rounds... where guys have done their research and want a certain sleeper, then his name gets tossed in the messages and then someone else picks him a couple picks later.

No, i don't think it is your bad... I think it is something we need to decide on as a league...

Like I said it probably shouldn't matter in rounds 1 and 2 cause everyone should know who they are wanting to pick.

You had mentioned Goldschmidt before I made my pick, but it did not influence my pick either way.

Just something we need to decide if we should try to avoid as the draft gets going or not...

We are all parts of different leagues, with different rules and some leagues allow it, some don't... so what is best for the 2018 MLB Dobber Baseball League?

Thanks... I am trying to follow similar strategy as what worked for me last season... and if the team I faced in the finals and that I was battling with all year for 1st place says nice selection I am happy with it!

I say no name drops until after that player is selected.
