    Default Hedman for ???

For team in sig. Another GM has stated he wants Hedman. On his team he has eichel, barzal, ehlers tkachuk, domi, horvat, forsberg and marner. As well as older guys like pavelski backes and of course a few untouchables (Mathews) he is a huge leafs fan. I didn't list the guys in any particular order.
This GM has stated he would move one of the younger guys but not two for Hedman. He still has all his picks also which could be anywhere from 6th to 12th overall

I'm asking for advice if this is worth pursuing any further? What would be a good return for me as I don't need to move Hedman, but at the same time it would fantastic to add some youth for the future.

Hedman is 27 years only and is proving he is on an elite team that has elite talent to play with signed for a few years... I do not see any point in trading him for youth at this stage of the game.

Therefore it would have to be a trade that completely blew me away. And he said he would not trade two players for him that it had to be player and picks?
    Not worth it for me.

I would not trade away any of Tampa's core right now unless I got blown away becasue they are going to be high scoring for a while.

Hedman is elite enough that it should be up to someone who wants him to put together a package that you're willing to accept, not the other way around.

I agree, this GM has a history (6 years) of the league never offering anything, just saying he would like said player. Thought for a second it might not be a bad idea to see what the fellas here thought.

Ask for the sun and moon... if he doesn't give you both... tell him no thanks because Hedman is a bright young Star.

Exactly. If you are the one being approached, then make him pay thru his arse for him. Otherwise, keep Hedman. He is borderline best player at his position.

Honestly I think Hedman (in a multi cat) is the best dman in the league. No way I trade him for any 1 of those. That's dumb for him to ask for someone and then set the rules. Silly. Don't even engage him in talks til he gets serious
