Default Fair deal for Eichel ?

It's a cap league, pts only, dynasty...

Currently in 4th place and thinking of selling high on a few players and dealing them to the 2nd place team (25 team league)

    I give Giroux/Ovechkin/B.Shenn
    I get Eichel/Hall/Cody Glass/Perry(salary dump)

Players over or close to 30 years old, no matter their names, have little value in this league. Been trying to part with Ovie and Giroux for 3 years but seems like a good time to pull the trigger. This is what I would offer, it doesn't mean he would accept.

    What's your initial reaction ? Thoughts ?

    Thanks

Initial reaction is it's alot to give up and Eichel salary is going to hurt soon until he is consistently ppg or better (which he is getting there and I believe he will achieve soon).

Given you have been trying to move them for 3 years it's not a terrible return. I do think ovi and Giroux have a few good years left. Schenn has all the tools for 70+ for several years as well.

That hurts any chance for this year but I like it long term.

The Schenn/Glass piece really hurts. I like Eichel and Hall for Ovi and Giroux but I'm not sold on Glass at all. I get wanting to go young but I think I'd need him to add another piece in order to pull the trigger here.

In leagues like this, you should be trying to acquire older players instead of trading them away. I know the salary cap makes it difficult sometimes but is Eichel going to produce a lot more than Giroux for the next 2-3 years? I doubt that. Why would you want to overpay to get a similar player? Just because he's younger? Eichel's cap hit is actually higher than Giroux's, so you're probably better off with Giroux anyways.
