Ryan sent down, Lindstrom claimed by Chicago

Bobby Ryan has been sent down to the AHL, and Joakim Lindstrom has been claimed off waivers by the Chicago Blackhawks, as with his one-way contract he had to clear waivers in order to be demoted to the AHL.

Could he be thrust into the Chicago starting lineup on that 2nd line LW hole people have been talking about this training camp?? Looks like another body competing for a spot in the starting lineup. Thoughts??

Edit: The B.Ryan move is strictly due to cap constraints as the Ducks were reportedly still over the cap ceiling.

That sucks for Ryan especially with all the work he put in in the off season, but at least the Ducks weren\'t stupid enough to trade him as was rumered.

As far as Listrom goes I can\'t see him taking the spot from Bolland. From everything I\'ve read Bolland has played very well the entire camp. Some have said he\'s a 3rd line center but I don\'t buy it. He\'ll be a 2nd line center in the NHL. He\'s got the talent to play that role, injuries being the only concern.

phew, it\'s good to know that the ryan move was a cap issue. it seemed to me like he was doing pretty good in the pre-season games so far. and i\'ve got him in a money league so i need him back up sooner rather than later!!!
