Girard is a 19 year old kid. I don't care if you play hockey for a living or work at a desk, no one goes in expecting to get cold cocked like that. If i was his parents I'd be fuming this is a grown ass man acting like a wild animal. Love that Johnson got the best of him afterwards and fed him a few goodies. I hope he gets the rest of the season or more. Borderline assaulting a minor. Not cool.

I'm sure there isn't a good team out there that woud want him. I don't get Arizona's vision on this. It's not like they need Rinaldo to embarrass them.
That being said, I didn't even know he was still playing, but that was a very clean hit. If you are going to defend one of your players for a clean hit, then you best be prepared for anything. Especially when it's a head case like Rinaldo.

Girard wasnt going to defend MacKinnon, he wasnt even looking at Rinaldo. He was skating past him as the play went on. Rinaldo simply expected him to come in and defend MacKinnon.

Girard did give him a tap with his stick, then kept skating away. Rinaldo assumed he was coming to fight.
Not condoning what Rinaldo did. By the time he hit Girard it was clear he wasnt looking to fight. Loved seeing Erik Johnson go hulkamania on Rinaldo.
