Many of us agreed with you, in some fashion or another. The Oilers have fallen apart, while the cheap Rinne extension set up Nashville well.

Got a great laugh out of reading the responses. And they were by no means wrong but it's just hilarious how things change. Rinne is still likely on his way out soon but no one would trade him for Talbot now. Any offer even would be grounds for starting a fight

The now-completed demise of Talbot prompted me to pop it back up, to show just how little control we have over our fantasy fates. I did the same last year with Dylan Larkin vs Sam Bennett, where consensus was that Sammy was the better player and had the higher upside.. lol yeaaaaaah right.... A handful of years back, I was adamant in keeping Patrik Berglund over Kyle Okposo, as it seemed Okposo was stalling and being kept away from Tavares, while Berglund was on the ups... Fell into the trap of drafting Shipachyov over Marchesseault... Drafted a 22 yr old seemingly ready Alex Killorn over the 18 year-old unripened Sean Monahan.
Oh yes, my fantasy life is littered with Chiarellis... It's not all bad history, but it shows that a lot of mistakes can be made in the moment...
