Upside could be 40 points if the coach immediately puts him on the PP.

But Gallant may make him earn it rather than punish Schmidt + Miller immediately. Hard to say. Vegas only middle of the pack with 15% conversion. Schmidt should not be on the PP really, but will Gallant change what has been working?

On the other hand, Miller is more of a quarterback than a triggerman. Theodore will shoot a lot more and has a much better shot selection. Both right handed tho

I don't know where you're getting your information or if maybe Theodore has started shooting from the other side all of a sudden but last I checked, Miller is a right-handed shot while Theodore is a left-handed shot.

the bigger question remains unanswered... how long will he stay up? Hopefully he makes it stick... back to the OP... the answer was obvious in reality. Vegas made a move with a Dman - they called him up. it really was a matter of him being the only waiver eligible player at the time.

I can't seem him not sticking. Now that Reinhart cleared waivers (was he really worth all this trouble?) and Garrison too (I can't believe they gave him an A and waived him so quickly...wow), I can't see a reason for him not to stay unless he somehow really stinks it up, which I guess is always possible.

I really hope they don't continue the up-down-up-down-up-down crap the Ducks pulled with him last year. He had how many call ups? 8? 10? at some point all of these call ups only to be scratched and miss AHL games where he could be playing 22+min.. is going to wear on him and become detrimental to development no?

It was a late call-up and Vegas had already practiced with that lineup, so not surprising.. but now that they took that drubbing, I see him drawing in. I would have said ahead of Brad Hunt, but he goes and gets 2A... So maybe as a 7th D (what a waste) or in Sbisa's spot.. Could also be in McNabb's but he plays a lot on the PK.. so I doubt they want to replace PK with PP and have no one to soak up those duties. 6 BS last night.

So, 1st game, however, I'm not necessarily super impressed by what I've seen! How long is this a hold on my roster? What is he worth on the market trade market?

He was fine in his first game. Give him time to adjust.. The defensive play is a bit of an issue still, but all of the offensive instincts are there.

Treat him like the top D prospect around, because that's what he is. He is still a prospect, but is above the rest.
