Im also wondering about him for points only.
he absolutely lit up the AHL last year in his 1st year in North America. I think it's a matter of trust with minutes with the Sharks. the Barracuda coach last year said he was like having their own Brent Burns on the back end. Scouts were unable to determine how good he was in the D-zone because he spent so little time in it. The puck would come in, the puck would go out - on his stick. He could be a lightening rod of a find if he gets any significant amount of PP time behind Burns.

Still going strong on pp1..goal and assist last night...deep leaguers alert! #howitzerHeed
made the assumption SJ was using the 4-1 PP set up... even better... Burns and Heed are both hybrid Dmen the way they play.
It's almost like having 5 forwards out there. He had a PP goal last night and upped his minutes to 21. I think the case is getting stronger to keep him on the PP1.

Heed is looking good on that top PP. Certainly making a good case for himself to keep the gig. Worst case scenario I would think at this point is he gets pushed down and runs PP #2 for San Jose. I was really worried with his 12 minutes and no peripherals two games ago, but his 21 minutes last night with 1g 1a 3 shots and 3 blocks made me breathe a sigh of relief as I went all in and picked him up in two of my leagues.

Dare it be said?? Tim Heed = 2017/18 Seasons version of Ghost? (the little known prospect that just blew up in everyone's face)

Added him at the cost of Honka. Hoping for a lite version of Klingberg 2015.
A little early to call Heed the next Ghost, but he is certainly on the right trajectory, and he is surrounded by the talent to succeed on the Shark's #1 power play. Pavs and Burns still have a few more notches to ratchet it up as well.
