By no means a keeper but is he worth owning at this point? SJ old and slowing down, so is Joe. Not a goal scorer and my league prefers goals. Lives on the powerplay as a plus though...Points (goals 1 pt more than assist) only and plus minus count; is he worth owning over:

There's a few players I'd probably own over Thornton at this point. Duchene, O'Reilly, Miller, Krejci come to mind. Thornton scores so few goals that I'd be looking to move on from him.

I would take 3/4 of that list over Jumbo Joe, he's old as hell and coming off knee surgery. He doesn't shoot and rarely scores so the goal bonus is completely lost on him. Dump him and don't look back.
