Kreider - I'll Rep

I have #1 claim priority, and Kreider was dropped in my league. You could add/drop up to a max of 5 times/week last year, but basically whoever you want. If someone was dropped by another team, you could put a waiver claim in, or you could take a chance and wait for them to come off of waiver status, then add them. This year, it's just a waiver system so you can't just stream, it's based on priority.

I'm looking to improve my forward depth. I was looking at guys like Neal and Namestnikov, but others have since grabbed them, and others available include Panik, Couturier, Frk, Pominville, Bratt, Gallagher, Brodie, N Foligno, Vrbata, Backlund, K Hayes, Tatar, Nyquist and so on. I don't think Brodie is someone I would add because I've already got Hamilton/Big Buff starting, and Klefbom on my bench.

Even though he had a big night, and is on 1st pp for Calg right now, Brodie isn't better than any of my D men correct? I own Zuccarello (2nd line/1st pp), but getting Kreider (1st line/1st pp) would get me exposure to both the 1st and 2nd lines for the Rangers, plus he's a goal scorer.

Thoughts on if he is worth the waiver claim/best guy to add of the bunch? I was actually interested in drafting him but he was gone already.

I don't need to drop anyone. When we draft, you can only have 14 on your roster, but once the draft is complete, you can move your rookie into the "rookie" slot which works like IR basically, so I moved Boeser there before the season started and have had an open spot since. Of course if I want to play Boeser at all, I'll have to drop someone, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I could even drop Lucic whenever I decide to activate Boeser, because I think Kreider is better than him? I mean no hits, pims, sog or things of that nature in my league, plus Kreider has a higher ceiling. I wouldn't drop Klefbom because he's a great extra D man in my opinion/can start at different points whether it be due to injury (hope not) or if he's hot. It's also nice to have a trade chip in the form of a D men. I already had 1 guy offer me for Klef, but I wasn't interested.

Where do you think he will slot in on my team? My starting line-up is already filled, and I don't necessarily know that there is anyone I would take out for him. I would consider Perry or Zuc, but I can see it being a rotating situation, where 2/3 of those guys play, and I just have in whoever is playing well. At this moment, he'll just sure up my bench.

I would drop lucic for him as well. If you dig into it a bit more you'll see that kreider usually starts pretty hot too.
So he could be a tradeable asset if your looking to upgrade elsewhere come
November/December.

Beauty thing is, I have Boeser in my rookie slot right now, so I can add Kreider without dropping anyone.

Good points. As I was saying, don't need to drop anyone at this point since Boeser is in my rookie slot. I think I'm pretty strong everywhere, just looking to improve my forward depth at this point. He may be a good guy to just hang onto and move in and out of the lineup as needed, but I get what you're saying about trade value.

Yes, you want Kreider. He is much more valuable in leagues that reward peripherals though.

No peripherals in my league, just +\-. Goals are weighted more than assists. Still worth the add given the other guys I said were available? I have the roster space.
