$3.775 AAV. I believe that's a first in NHL history for a non-first overall pick.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

8th ever for a non first or second overall. Capfriendly was tweeting about that today.
Most of the others were top college signings.

I stand corrected. It's not as uncommon as I thought.

Hmm, I dont think he got the max unless it got altered due to coming over part way through the season. Max AAV salary is $3.775M while Tolvanen is only coming in at $3,145,833 AAV.

Looks like he has maximum performance bonuses in years 2 and 3 with less in year 1. Don't know if that's because it's pro-rated or what's the reason but that seems to be the reason for lower AAV.

Ya, I am not sure the reasoning for that. The only thing I can think of is due to him coming over so late into his first year of his contract. He definitely maxes out on the performance bonuses in years two and three.

    The next couple seasons?

I will be surprised if he surpasses 60 points in the next couple seasons. Nashville is just too deep.

Only 2 forwards have over 51 points right now for the first place Predators, so I wouldn't expect huge numbers any time soon.. All depends on opportunity!!

I would compare his production to Arvidsson, also a heavy shooter on the team. NAS runs 3 solid lines and points are distributed across the team. I think 60 points is a good base. If Tolvanen can develop some chemistry with Forsberg, both players might break 70 in their young careers.

    That's what I'm wondering too.

Won't go nuts and expect Boeser/Laine type returns.

But I think Nashville badly needs his creativity. I could see him having a Keller like impact. Not necessarily a Barzal type impact though.

I got him with 8th overall WW position, and I feel like I stole him. I guess other owners are hoping Elias Pettersson gets added to Yahoo before seasons end? Can't imagine what else they'd be holding out for. Either way though, as I traded away my draft picks next season for Barzal, I am ecstatic to have a rookie like Tolvanen going in to next year. That leaves me with Kunin, Tolvanen and Bellows to hope at least one has some impact. All though I might trade Tolvanen if the hype is still this huge going in to next seasons drafts. Would kick myself though if he did end up having a year like Boeser or Keller.
