Parise = high risk decent reward. back issues will slow him down... but if he manages 40-50games he'll out point Gallagher...one hit from being out for the season...
Gallagher = better cap value, could surprise with some decent production on a low scoring teamdon't expect a full season of games played either.
Cap space will help down the stretch for free agents/trades etc. I would probably go Gallagher.

Gallagher in a cap league- not close- thats a STEAL!!! I had to almost pay someone to take parise off my hands in my cap dynasty. Like hes almost a legit dropper option depending how forgiving (orunforgiving) your cap system is...

I don't see any feasible scenario where Parise's production makes it worth taking him over Gallagher in a cap league, short of Gallagher missing 30 plus games.

Yeah i like the trade based on cap but don't really like Gallagher seems like a low end 40 point guy max that doesn't do a lot of anything... any suggestions who i could flip him for? just throw out names and ill check it out. My bias on Gallagher distorts his value to me.

Parise has negative value in a cap league.... The fact you were able to get anything for him, let alone a decent player with some bounce back potential AND a decent draft pick.... Like others said, thats a steal.

Gallagher actually has some hidden upside- his sogs per 60 are quite high- those guys often turn out to be gems. Even at low 40s hes outperforming the general point per dollar ratio...Originally Posted by JRA

Wait for the season to begin before moving Gallagher. He might start the year with Pacioretty and Drouin on the top line... and PP1. He had a down year last year with his broken hand but he could be a surprise this year.
