Who is this guy? Where the dickens did he come from? Is he for real? Worth a pick up?

Unless your league has 6x31 = 186 defencemen owned and on an active roster, he's probably not going to be relevant.
    Great story though.

I googled "Brad friggin Hunt" and your thread was the first hit! lol

I also got this hit: https://www.coppernblue.com/2014/12/...l-up-brad-hunt

Not worth a pick up unless you are in a really deep league.

Oddly enough I believe he did the same thing a couple years ago during the preseason...

It's more pre-season hype. Don't buy it. VGK are loaded in D and he will get pushed down the ladder once the regular season starts up.

I've been spot checking the vegas boxscores and he seems to be getting alot of pp-time but with all the slash pims going around its probably a tad out of whack .

he could be worth keeping an eye on as a depth type/darkhorse d so keep an eye on this weeks exb. game boxscores

Do a search for the in-season thread for him last year. King of the small sample size!

They have a bunch of bodies on D but it's far from being "loaded"

Compared to Brad Hunt, I consider them loaded.

Brad Hunt ghostisbehered his first spot-PP-duty one-timer for STL last year and the whole fantasy world fell down swooning over him.
He's probably doing it again this post-season.
One-timers get through... sometimes. Goalies can't read that. Put it on net, maybe it goes through.
If you do it on your first shot, you're that guy who knocked down all the milk bottles.
    Hot shot.

ps. Eff you Commish. I googled Brad Hunt. That was NOT a fun experience.
I still got a picture... but damn, it forced me to scroll past some stuff I'd rather not see at work.

I picked him up in the super deep WHL league. 6 starting D - 24 team league. (I have Krug & Ellis injuries or I wouldn't even look)

I think he has a shot at the 7th d spot on the Knights, get spot duty on the powerplay when he gets in. If not he will get picked up on waivers by another team (just like last season) and be on the bench till injuries occur.

Don't even bother looking at him in a shallow league.

Agree with all of this. The Knights seriously lack established offensive dmen so there is room for a guy like Hunt to at least get some looks. Plus he's in competition with guys like Sbisa, Reinhart and Merrill so it wouldn't be too difficult to climb the ranks.

Ultimately I think he fails to stick. In fantasy I wouldn't consider him anything more than an emergency plug-in guy to cover for injuries in a very deep league.

Who knows what happens on an expansion team, but this guy tore up the AHL. Didn't work out with Edmonton, St Louis or Nashville though.

Check the forums for discussions on him over the past 2 seasons. Nothing has changed. He's still a high end offensive AHL hockey player without the necessary skills to play a full time role in the NHL.
