Wow, big props to the Drew/Carey Show who was in second last with 49.5 points on december 9 and just tied Junky Blue Saab for First place last night
Pengwin has been on a nice little roll as of late. I wasn't sure if we would see anyone wrestle the lead away from geetos so quickly.
I've decimated by injuries at the moment with Byfuglien, Couture, Dubinsky and now Werenski out. Hopefully the holiday break helps a couple of these guys get healthy and gets me back into podium placement.
Without me, it's only "aweso".

Standings update - February 25, 2018:
So I'm just catching up on the forum posts now - thanks for the kudos. I recently discovered the chart view for league standings, and I gotta say it's very satisfying to see that green line jump from the basement to top of the league. It did feel pretty good watching my stock rise, when I was pretty sure my team was better than that. Sometimes you just gotta ride the wave, I've definitely made some panic moves in the past when my teams were struggling, and usually regretted it. Slow and steady...
It has been a really terrifically competitive league all year.
There's been four of us in the running for the top two spots pretty much all year (incl. Lonny, D/C, and Don't Panic... Sabrecats had been overpacing GP all year).
My lead is nowhere near safe with my overpacing of GP at goalie skewing my spot.
There's a ton of categories that are going to be very tight at the end.
Should be a great finish. I imagine that 1st-4th will all finish btw 70-75pts.
Lonny's been the front-runner all season in my own charts... been pacing back in skater GP... but his team is best in league, esp with the Vas/Bob duo anchoring his goalies.
Hopefully I can still shore up 2nd, but it'll be tough.
I've got some goalie cats right on the fringe and I could lose 3-5pts alone there if my goalies can't be solid down the stretch.
Losing my PHI tandem (Elliott/Neuvirth) really hurts with the Flyers being hot.
Gonna be a good one.
Standings on April 1st are gonna be TIGHT!
It?s going to be an interesting finish for sure. I was trying to land a superstar goalie with no luck. Settled on bishop in hopes I could make up some ground in goalie stats. I don?t know if I?ve got the talent on my team to actually get first this year but I think second is attainable with a little luck. Would be pretty awesome to make the experts league for next year!
Saw your recent posts and had a look at the standings - this is quite the title battle!
