Anyone buy this current dip? Its really bad timing eh? Cant see me putting in more money right now. I have a 15 year old and a 13 year old. They want expensive things for Xmas. Ahhhhhh to be young and without responsibility again.

Not me. Selling off a few things for tax reasons and preparing for the next big step up in the New Year.

I've bought XRP down into the .80's with a longer timeline. Also started a position in LINK during this dip.

Still about 80% of my holdings are in ETH since about the 400 range

Interesting. Why LINK? It has no purpose except to be dumped by the team as a source of revenue. I believe they have stopped for now, but don't they hold a TON of it still? I know that there is supposed to one day be staking, but is there a timeline on it?
Curious why LINK in particular has got your attention.

I have most of everything locked away in ETH as well. Some RPL, but that's just doubling down on ETH if I am honest. A few other coins for speculative plays, and a bunch of NFTs for funsies.

Mostly because of technicals and this new web3 craze that I'll try and take advantage of.

    I don't plan on holding long-term looking for a 3x or so.

Guys - I have turned the corner on crypto and have some play money available to YOLO on something for the long-run (5+ years)

Of the many crypto currencies available, which one do you guys see having the best chance of becoming mainstream (or at least still being around in 10 years) in terms of store of value and practical use. I know BTC is the most liquid so it's probably the best store of value (for now) but my limited research indicates that ETH will likely emerge as the most practical currency.

If I invest it will be in the form of an ETF (ETH or BTC)... not willing to do all the work involved in procuring and storing the real thing in a cold wallet (and forgetting the password years later or being hacked).

qeth.u is an ethereum ETF that I currently own as well.

I do not hold any of my crypto in an ETF but I sold off all of the remainder of my Bitcoin for ETH earlier this year (though I had done most of that in 2017 already anyways) so that would certainly be my answer.

    Thanks guys.

Ethereum it is! I will look into the different ETF options (including qeth.u) and patiently wait for the next big dip.

Why did you pick that one specifically? Did you look into ETHR on the TSX?

Any of you guys recommend using Wealth Simple for a first time Crypto Buyer? I was considering buying Shiba Inu Coin. Do you need a Crypto Wallet for that site?

PSA: Make sure it's money you can afford (and expect) to lose.
