WHo to take 3rd over all (minors draft)

No terribly high on this draft class and very unlikely Nico or Nolan fall to me.

So in a 16 team keeper with the following cats who do I take?
G, A, PIMs, +\-, SOG

Glass
Middlestadt
Yamamoto
Vilardi
Suzuki

Or do I shoot for a project D?
Maker or Lilljigren

Or maybe the most NHL ready Russians
Shipachyov or Dandonov

Or is there a stand out goalie prospect in this class or maybe Coreau in Detroit (who was dropped)

No FOW, no hits, no blocked shots... C's and D's take a massive hit. Shooting wingers get a boost...

That said: Glass, Makar, Mittelstadt or Tippett for me... or even Shipachyov.

Will be interesting to see what everyone else thinks...

This is why I hate this draft year

I'd probably go Glass, Tippett, Mittlestadt, then Makar (he drops only because of his ETA to the NHL), in that order. I don't have much confidence in Ship or Dadonov.

I have the 4th overall and plan to pick Glass FWIW. You could choose any of these guys and be okay I think.

Can you trade down to 8 or so and grab an upgrade elsewhere? I have a feeling that Dadonov will be the best fit for your team, and he's probably still there in the 8-12 range.
My lean otherwise is to say Glass or Suzuki, as they could stick due to Vegas 1) not having F depth yet, 2) actually already being better than half the forwards on that team.

I'd shop the pick... See what gets offered. Perhaps you get a solid player that can help now - Guentzel? Shop right up to the draft, offers will get higher and higher.

If you don't get enough to make your heart beat faster - then draft it. I'd probably go Glass, Mittlestadt Petersson

I just moved guys like Getzlaf and Kesler out as well as Pastrnak, Rask, Saad and Hudon.

Brought in Puljujarvi, Jost, A Nylander, D.Pouliot, O'reilly, Maroon, Nelson and Talbot.

Still have Matthews (crown jewel), Doughty, Gudas, E.Kane, Voracek, Backes and Pearson.

And on my farm Boeser, Barbashev, Kapanen, Leivo, Bellows and Rattie.

So while I'm clearly in building mode, I've got some high octane prospects.

Add in Pick 3 and 19 ...

I just wish 3 was more obvious. I need a high calibre shooter. Maybe a golden knight is the best option.

I just hope you moved Pasta for Matthews. Pasta's a beast and I'd want him flying shotgun to Matthews otherwise.

Yes he is. But I took a chance on Puljujarvi, O'Rielly and Pouliot which was my return. Rolling the dice on Pulj being every bit as good as Pasta, atleast by the time this team of mine turns the corner.

I think you could take shipachyov and probably trade him for both glass and mittelstadt if they were owned by the same person. This after a year of shipachyov settling in
