    Default Corvo or Letang?

    Hi there,

I am undecided as to who to take. I\'ve decided with a D-man as if I can finish off my D first that would make it easier to pick forwards (there are more 60 point forwards then 40 point defenseman available).

It\'s a H2H keeper, and next year we will be protecting 9.

I\'m trying to decide between Corvo or Letang.

Corvo would be more benifit for this year and probably next as well, where as Letang might take over after that.

    Any input?

    Default Corvo or Letang?

If you go strictly by what Dobber says in the guide, then you have to go with Corvo. He points out that Carolina\'s goal output went up by 20% or so after Corvo got there. He is predicting him to be in the top 10 for D this year, so that should put him in the 50 point range (Chara and Jovo both had 51 last year for 10th). So I would say Letang is going to get his points if he plays where he should with the two bohemoths out, but Corvo looks to be in it for the long haul.

    Hope this helps.

Everything I have read has Corvo coming out with a big year. The Score Forecaster has him as high as 56 points this year.

I don\'t see how you can take Letang\'s potiental against numbers like that.

Agreed. Letang may or not be the QB on the PP. Corvo is going to be for sure.

It really depends on if you\'re going for the win this year or not, but my gut tells me to go with Corvo.

Unless you see your team as still being more then 3 years out Corvo is the no brianer on this one. The Canes PP and offense started to really click when they added him last year and it\'s it\'s not much of a reach to expect similar output this year. While I don\'t expect Corvo to keep up his 21 in 23 pace from last year he could easily be over 55 points this season. Hard to turn that down.

    Thanks guys.

That\'s what my gut was telling me as well...just needed to confirm it I guess.
