Production over potential if you are anywhere near being ready to compete. Rielly is an NHLer, Sergachev is a very good prospect. I'd take Rielly.

In a start 6F, you have 5 NHL D. So yeah, I'd want Reilly too. Unless your have a tank-nation plan or something like that.

For your sake, I really hope LAV grabs Grubrauer and makes him a starter. Man, you really need help at goaltending to kick start this team!

I agree with Bottlenecker even if it's a trade and flip based on your outlook - Serg is a hot prospect bit have to wonder if it isn't at least two seasons or more before he starts seeing pp1 time if Montreal only use one D man

Acquire Rielly on the cheap just before his upcoming breakout season? Yes please.

Prospects tend to fail in Montreal; I'd take Rielly ASAP (and this is coming from a die-hard Habs fan)

In all seriousness though, Sergachev is a great prospect but Rielly is already there. Both show potential to develop their game, but since MR is already doing it in the NHL, he's my clear-cut choice here!

Thanks for the input so far guys. My dilemma is that I really, really, really like Sergachev and I'm not as high on Rielly. It's one of those deals where my heart says no but my head says yes. I'm trying to get him to do a Rielly for Buchnevich swap instead, thoughts on that?

I much prefer this deal but the other one with Sergachev was a winner too. Buchnevich played great last year but I think you'd be selling him high here so I'm happy with Rielly as a return.

I agree. If you can swing Buchnevich for Rielly then do that one. If not then don't let Sergachev be a deal breaker, trade him for Rielly. Unless your gut absolutely forbids you from doing so.

Rielly over both Sergachev and Buchnevich by a significant margin.

In which case, use this V and pull the trigger on it
