Will Chabot play for Sens in 17'/18'?

I may still be bitter, betting on Vatanen, Pouliot, Pulock and Theodore and go figure, Gostisbehere is the one I don't draft and he explodes for 46 pts lol.. I also thought I could wait one more year on Ristolainen given his outlook and horrible +/- (plus a horrible team) and go figure, he erupts too lol.

In my main league, it is near impossible to stash prospects (to artificially enhance competition) so you pretty much have to draft them at their breakout point and max, one year before. So unless you can read a breakout accurately, it makes drafting a prospect even a stud one.

I think Chabot plays the entire season in the NHL next year. He is the Sens #1 prospect and although the minutes he is used too could be had in the AHL, moves will be made to accommodate his readiness in my opinion.

Since Kulikov did it 8 years ago, has any D-man made the jump directly from the Q to the NHL? At least I couldn't find any. Ouellet, Beaulieu, Despres and Scandella played some NHL games in their rookie season but spent most of the season in the AHL.

I'm not saying Chabot can't do it but the odds seem to be against it. That's a long time since it happened last time. The Q is such a different league compared to the NHL, especially for a D-man.

watching this thread with looking for help in this area as well. i don't own him, but i would like to get 'em. the owner already has a decent fleet of Dmen in a start 5 so im not even sure if hes keeping him, so i may be able to re-draft him?

what would you do if this was your dman stable, and likely only keeping 5, maybe 6

It feels weird, but I keep all except Sergachev or Theodore. I am a big fan of Hanifin too, but maybe he ends up being assigned more defensive responsibilities rather than puck rushing. I guess it depends on your categories, but I would have Theodore, Sergachev or Hanifin on the chopping block.
