Surprised this isn't where the two day break was put making this game a Saturday tilt.

Gotta think Pittsburgh wins this one right? If they were playing Washington....100% Penguins would win tonight.

Schultz in or out tonight? any word yet? Be huge to get him back. I suspect Streit will have his legs back tonight too. Dressing in the 3rd round after not playing for a couple weeks. That tempo is hard to catch. He'll be better.

Apparently Murray is in tonight. Not sure if it was confirmed previously.

I question this. If I was Pitts I would go Fleury again... cause if Murray comes in and has a rough outing then Fleury's confidence is shaken and you cannot go back to him.

It is only TSN radio, but they said none of the injured Pens (Schultz, Hornqvist and Rust) are expected to play and Murray will start. To give a bit more info than radio on Murray, he was first on the ice for morning skate and first off. Fleury stayed on for extra work.

Borowiecki is closer to return but will not play and Burrows may play said Coach Boucher.

I have no idea or feeling how tonight's game will go, but the winner will set themselves up well for the rest of the series. Go Sens go. Sens in 6.

This reminds me a bit of what happened to Vancouver in 2010 in that first round series against Chicago. Lou was the goalie from games 1-5 and then after one bad outing they switched to Schneider (I think, can't remember which game Schneider got the start for) . Then Schneider got cramps in that game and Lou had to go in lol.

I read somewhere on Twitter (after the last game) that the Sens have now held those mighty, unbeatable Penguins to one goal or less in 5 straight games. I didn't check that stat because my memory believes it to be true. What I did check however is that the next current and active streak to hold the Penguins to 1 goal or less is Chicago with a measly 2 straight games.

This is not a fluke what the Sens have done. It is strictly a horrible matchup for Pittsburgh whether they are healthy or not. I just hope the series continues with more of the same so that I don't have to eat my words from Post #1 and beyond in this thread.

    False. Letang changes everything.

1 of those 1 goal games didn't have Letang. The other game did. The other game they had Letang Pittsburgh scored 8 goals. Be really tough for the Sens to even make the playoffs, let along the third round, without Karlsson.

In fact Pittsburgh has only played 1 game against Ottawa with a fully healthy top 6 D (Letang, Daley, Schultz, Dumoulon, Maatta, Cole), and coincidentally it was the game they scored 8 goals against them. How curious.

I agree Letang is a big loss obviously. But we knew Letang was out for this series before it started...so pundits and fans people can't say now that it would be so different with Letang. Otherwise they would have picked Ottawa to win the series beforehand. It was the same thing in the Boston series with People blaming injuries for getting their prediction wrong when we knew their d men were out before game 1.

Should be a closer game tonight. Good luck teams!

I'm not blaming the series or prediction on Letang, or any injuries. Show up and play.

I'm just saying the "healthy or not" it's a bad matchup is just well. Yea. No.
