Why no love for deslauriers?
I can\'t figure out why deslauriers is ranked 84th on the goalie list when he is on a one-way contract in Edmonton with guys who are years away like Enroth (55th) & Bachman (76th) are ahead of him.
Is his upside that bad?

His upside really isn\'t that high at all, though he could probably deserve a bump of a few spots. Perhaps with Garon in town there and Roloson still a part of the team, there\'s not seen to be much room for him to get too many games.

Sure he\'s on a 1 way contract and he\'ll get some games but until Roloson gets moved he\'s not even going to be a backup on the team.

A one way contract doesn\'t make him a better prospect, just a more expensive one.

That being said, I believe Deslauriers will be given every chance to take over as Garon\'s backup. He is a solid goalie, who rarely gets found out of position. I\'m not sure if he\'s ever going to be a bona-fide starter, but he has enough in him to be on an NHL roster in the near future.

He looked quite good last night aside from one particular gaffe.

Stopped 27 of 29 shots and played solid overall. Was just BRUTAL in the shootout, but that\'s not as big of a concern.
