So... 4 meh keepers and a shitty goalie.... No Holtby? No Price? are you still mulling this? Cuz I would, tough one to accept.

    (enough sarcasm for one post?)

So I'm guessing this was not an actual tangible offer that you could click "accept" on...

Here's the big question: Was this presented to you as a firm verbal offer, or a hypothetical "would you do this..?"

If the latter, I'd be worried that you don't have a deal.

yeah you gotta do it but you're in win multiple times mode now for next 2-3 years before they start dropping off in their 30's; so you gotta constantly surround this with a good roster and reap the rewards in their prime.

Gotta be very careful with verbal negotiations... always make sure their offer is firm and binding before giving an answer, or they will try to renegotiate after seeing what you are willing to accept. Can be very frustrating when dealing with ethics-challenged GMs.

Essentially 12 forwards vs 4 defensemen, even if you have to add another piece, it's still a strong deal for you as forwards will be more valuable here.

Just sit back and wait it out. Don't appear over-eager.

Haha trying. Still no response. There's 2 separate deals there. Sent them both at the same time. Still not appearing over eager

I just talked to him and he said every time he opens them and looks he feels Ill thinking about accepting 1 of them. Don't wanna push too hard and I already feel like in giving up a ton but he traded away 2 high picks to go for the win this year, I could probably get him to accept if I replace his 5th rd pick on top of what I'm giving him (not that I want to). Is it still worth it?

Seen that coming... Hate when people make verbal offers and then try to renegotiate.

Mhm. Cuz I added pominville to it instead of dropping him. Now he's saying he has too many wild players and wants hits and plus minus because he loses nearly every category and is worried about winning this year even though he acknowledged he wins in future

While the trade is a good one for you, I have no problem walking away when the other guy uses negotiation tactics like this. He's gonna keep asking for more and more.
