I hate the new Yahoo draft

I\'m not a big fan of the new interface Yahoo is using for it\'s drafts. I participated in a live draft for a new keeper league and my screen kept freezing every time I tried to add or move guys around in my queue. It resulted in some stupid picks because guys ended up being at the top of my draft list before I could move them down.

Time to buy a new computer so it can keep up with Java.

Anyway, I had a pretty good draft but I sure as hell hope that Yahoo gives some of my players RW eligibility...

C - E. Stall, Carter, J. Stall, V. Kozlov
LW - Nash, Huselius, A. Kostitsyn, S. Kostitsyn, Avery
RW - Perry, Brown, Erat
D - Phaneuf, Burns, Whitney, Zidlicky, Suter, O\'Brien
G - Louongo, Biron, DiPietro

Prospect (so far) - Turris

Leauge rules: 3C,3LW,3RW,4D,1UTL,2G,5BN
Points: G,A,+/-,PIM,GWG,PPP,W,GAA,SV%,SO
Protect 9 players at end of the year (Max 3 at each position except only 1 goalie)

I\'ll be adding a RW as soon as Whitney is put on the IR. Feedback?

i think you need to upgrade your computer dude. i\'ve been in 2 drafts with 22 people so far and no complaints.

Yeah...this could be a pretty big problem for you...

...but on to the team! I think you have your 9 keepers already, even if you dont know how to spell their names!

Well done getting both Kostitsyn\'s...just too bad you wont be able to keep them. You do get to keep prospects (Turris) in addition to the 9 right?

Yeah, we get to hang on to our prospects for about 3 years. After you activate them you have an extra protection spot for them. So basically you have 9 protected players plus one more for a rookie/prospect. The guy ahead of me in our prospect draft used this to his advantage to draft Bernier. Once he activates him, he\'ll be able to hang on to his two starters while everyone else only gets to protect one goalie. It\'s not a bad strategy as long as you don\'t activate him too soon when he\'s nothing more than a backup.

I managed to snag Varlamov with my last pick in the 3rd round. Drafting propect goalies that have potential to be good starts at the NHL level is definately the way to go in this leauge since you can only protect one goalie otherwise. Hopefully 3-4 years from now Varlamov is a legit starter and than I can ride him and Louongo to multiple championships!
