I think Broadway had the best draft, by far.
Obvious steals - Sheppard, Bouchard, and C.Murphy (others have said this, but these guys merit mentioning again.)
I think Sterling will make it in the NHL, but was taken a little too high, there were others that coulda gone before him. Unless Lost Cause was drafting a player he needed to contribute right away.
Patrick McNeill -D-WSH - He may have some faults, but he is a possible PP QB in WSH in a few years. He was taken 1st overall in the 03\' OHL Draft, he\'s put up 77 pts in 05-06 and was a point a game this year.
Ivan Nishnevskiy - Like McNeill, there were other D taken before him that don\'t have as much offensive upside.
I don\'t think you\'re telling us everything blindside, at a quick glance, I either didn\'t see them in the draft results or you guys missed out big time, but I don\'t see Toews, Little, Backstrom and Letang. There has to be another reason for this, this many GM\'s can\'t be that bad.
On another note, tell Broadway to look up Simon Hjalmarsson. We like similar players, so I\'m sure he\'ll like this guy (Unless you want him for yourself ...
)
Hjalmarsson is so under-rated. He may be light, (the same weight as Turris) but from what I saw from him in the WU18 Canada-Sweden game, he looks to be a possible future star in the NHL.
In that game, IMO, he was the best player on the ice, and that was with Turris, Esposito, Backlund, and Stamkos, also in that same game. He\'ll most likely be playing with Lars Eller again in St.Louis, with their chemistry, Hjalmarsson should score alot of goals in the future. If there are any other negatives, besides him be light, it\'s that he\'s a few years away from seeing NHL action.
