    Here is my list.

    HOF:
    Jaromir Jagr
    Sidney Crosby
    Alexander Ovechkin
    Jarome Iginla
    Joe Thornton
    Roberto Loungo
    Patrick Kane
    Evgeni Malkin

    Then very close:
    Corey Perry

    Henrik Zetterberg
    Jonathan Toews
    Anze Kopitar
    Drew Doughty
    Duncan Keith
    Carey Price
    Henrik Lundqvist

Then finally need a few more things to go there way:
Eric Staal: A second cup and well clear the 1000 point mark.
Jason Spezza: A Stanley cup and clear the 1000 point mark.
Zach Parise: With how his health has gone, he needs to stay healthy and win at least a couple cups while being a major factor.
Braden Holtby: A Stanley cup and 400+ wins.
Jonathan Quick: Clear the 400+ win mark or another Stanley cup/vezina season.
    Corey Crawford: 400+ wins.
Henrik Lundqvist: A Stanley cup or similar numbers to Roberto.
Marc Andre Fleury: Another cup and 400+ wins.

A lot of it all depends on who retires the same year. If you don't get in the first year, you're stuck waiting until a weak first-year class before you can get in. If Spezza retires the same year as Jagr, Ovechkin, Iginla and Crosby, he'd have a hard time getting in. But if retires the same year as Fleury, Crawford, Staal and Luongo, it increases his chances quite a bit.

The only guarantees of the establishes is Iginla, Thornton, Malkin, Toews, Lundqvist. I'm going by if they retired today.

Interesting Newf I actually thought Kane was ahead of Toews in this race. With a Calder, Hart , Art Ross, Ted Lindsay and a Con Smythe like him or not he has an impressive resume. I almost think he has enough to get in if he retired tomorrow.

Also Lundy over Loungo? I guess he's won more individual awards but Loungo is top 5 all time in wins and climbing.

Toews, Doughty, Keith, Getzlaf and Perry get in likely based on cups/international play, but some of them not on first ballot tries.

Keith has won the Conn Smythe, Norris (2x), Stanley cup (3x), Olympic Gold (2x) and a World Cup Silver (2008). His list of awards is pretty stellar

I think the list of guys that don't get in (from the above mentioned) is much shorter than those who do end up getting the HOF nod.

Parise and Spezza are the weakest names on that list. I can see them being left out for sure. The haven't done anything compared to the rest of the names listed.

Perry is in Scott Niedermayer territory in that he has won every team and (almost every) individual award you can win in hockey (from Junior (OHL and Memorial Cup Championships and MVPs) to the NHL (Cup, MVP, Rocket Richard) and international play (Gold Medals)). He should be a lock along with Toews, Kane, Malkin, Doughty, Keith, Price, Crawford and Fleury. Getzlaf, Zetterberg and Kopitar are all pretty similar and next in line for me.

Iggy and Thornton have done as much as you can do without winning a cup - they should get in. Sedins are right behind them.

It's basically turned into the Hall of Very Good, Hall of I Like and Respect that guy. I think most of those listed will eventually get in.

I forgot about Hossa and Marleau. I think Hossa for sure. Marleau is on cusp. He should 500 goals and over a 1000 points but hasn't won anything at the NHL level. A cup would do wonders for his chances.

I think the Sedins deserve some serious consideration.... Think about it, the only pregnancy to produce more NHL points was Wayne Gretzky!

From your list (besides the obvious ones):
    Thornton
    Malkin
    Iginla
    Kane
    Price
    Keith
    Toews

Why has Chicago been so good these past few years? Well, having 3 future Hall of Famers certainly helps. Could Hossa make it 4? Well, it's possible.

And I seriously hope Getzlaf and Perry don't even get consideration. I've never liked either of them, never considered them to be elite.

I've never been a fan of their personalities myself but you can't take away anything from their track records. They carried their team to a Stanley Cup Championship and have each had 2 or 3 seasons of elite, offensive output all the while maintaining a Playoff contending team all these years -- and that's just their NHL careers. They've both got as long an international record as anyone.

If I had to pick one for the HOF it would be Perry.

In all of the history of the game, only two players have won a Stanley Cup, Olympic Gold Medal, World Championship, World Junior Championship, Memorial Cup and Canada/World Cup title: Scott Niedermayer and Corey Perry. Both also won a Memorial Cup MVP. Perry has won the Hart and Richard while Niedermayer won the Norris and Con Smythe.

    That is worth consideration.
